In 2008, I visited Santa Fe and Los Alamos, NM to visit my retired art professor. It was my first time visiting the Southwest, and I now live in the rather plain suburbs of Pittsburgh. In NM, surrounded the Native American culture, warm dry air, and the brown/beige/red Earth tones of the landscape- along with the course tangled foliage- I felt connected and grounded to this region. I cannot explain why. Looking back today over photos I took on this visit, I felt I needed to return, explore, and connect there again. Have you ever been to that region? Have you had a similar experience? How can we gauge this experiences? What if we currently live in area we are not connected to?

Maybe you have Native American spirit guides, or lived a past life there? I haven’t felt tied to that place specifically, but I have found places I am tied to.
If you currently live in an area that you are not connected to, and you don’t have a strong reason to live there, I’d personally suggest moving. (Just my opinion.) I don’t have strong connections to the place I currently live and am in the process of trying to make necessary preparations to move somewhere I’m more connected to.March 6, 2016 at 6:43 pm #1205
Thank you for the reply. Do you think the Taro could give me some insight to the connection? I’ve only had one reading, and that was with you on periscope. But I think it might be interesting to try to learn more about the Taro, even though I’m a skeptic at heart….I find it very intriguing.March 6, 2016 at 7:20 pm #1206

Some other tactics you can try are meditation (there are many guided meditation videos on YouTube! :D). You could try some of these https://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=native+american+spirit+guide+meditation such as “Guided Meditation to Meet Native American Indian Spirit Guides”. Just get into a quiet, comfy state, close your eyes, and use your imagination to reach a meditative state.
You could also see if there are any Native American cultural centers nearby where you live and explore them!March 7, 2016 at 6:21 pm #1207
