Need suggestions for getting mobile app developed

I need help in making the decision for taking the mobile app development services. I wanted to get an amazing mobile app developed so I started looking for the best freelance mobile app developers to get the services, but then a friend of mine suggested me to not hire a freelance developer, and instead I should look forward to hire the best mobile app development company. I am not sure what I should do now, also my budget is very limited so I cannot spend a lot in getting the application created, so kindly suggest me the right choice that I can select to get the work done.
